Woohoo! I finished inputting the corrections into Floozy & Other Stories today. Just one more read through (in which I hope to find no more corrections) and a minor change on the cover, and I can submit to Lulu to submit to online retailers. I'm excited about finally getting this off my TO DO list. If everything goes well, I should have it sent off tomorrow.
Next up will be Murder by the Mile. Philip Larkin once said that books have "a beginning, a muddle, and an end." Well, I'm in the muddle of MBTM. I'm looking forward to writing my way out.
Otherwise, I did laundry, washed dishes, worked on filing, cleaned my work area, etc. Still not feeling great, but so much better that I know I'm on the way to 100 percent. I'm hoping to go walking tomorrow. Wish me luck!
How was your day? Were you able to pursue your creative satisfaction?

So glad to hear you've finished keying in revisions! Woohoooooooo!!
I spent most of yesterday at my writers group meeting and worrying about my cat who'd just had surgery. When I got home, she wasn't doing so well, so I spent pretty much every moment with her. Not a very productive day.
That's wonderful, Stephen!
My day has been going well. Frankly, yesterday was the yucky day -- doing the prep for this morning's "Thank God you made it to 50, now we'll take pictures of you colo-rectal tract to celebrate" exam. The stuff they give you to clean you out, while they claim is not bad, I'd rate it right up there with nasty -- and it's only marginally better refrigerated. The exam itself? Piece of cake. You go in bright and early, they talk nicely to you and hook you up to an IV and you take a nap. Approximately half an hour to forty-five minutes later, they wake you up, tell you what they found (or didn't find), what they did (or didn't do), give you pictures and a summary to take home (at least my doctor was thoughtful enough to do that -- I'm so pleased to have given him a clean slate for photography), and send you on your way with orders not to return to work and to nap for the rest of the day. Who can beat that? The worst part is I can't take any Aleve for the next seven days, and Tylenol by itself doesn't completely alleviate my arthritis pain.
