Catching Up

Good for you guys.  I'm not usually the last one posting for the week, but y'all are on top of things!  High fives all around!

The Good Stuff:

- We got TONS of stuff done in San Antonio with the yard.  More to do, but we marched through the critical stuff and got it done.
- We got ALL the errands done we needed to get done in San Antonio -- we saved them up for Wednesday and marched right through all of them, too.  So exciting that Pinky is thrilled (but a bit overwhelmed) with his "new" iPad.  He's only called me once so far.  I hope that means he's figuring it out and not frustrated with it.
- Got the yard mowed and trimmed in Central TX.
- Only worked on writing one night this week.
- So far, the skin seems to be settling down.
- We got more scraping done on the west wall.

Not So Good Stuff:

- The riding lawn mower is misbehaving -- seems to be in the carburetor.  I'm turning it over to hubby to resolve.
- The scale showed a loss of .2 lbs this week.  I don't delude myself into thinking it was anything I've done.

The Week Ahead:

- Continue working on PBOTL and MAY DAYS (I really like ROAD TRIP -- I'm going to have to save that title for something else; it just doesn't fit this novel).
- I need to ride the bike and put in some time on the Wii this week in addition to any yard work I can get done
- I need to plant the fig tree and get the borrowed drip irrigation set up for it (this is so cool -- a large tote storage container, a small hole drilled in the bottom, and a fish tank air valve inserted in the hole creates a drip irrigation container)
- Scrape more on the west wall
- Finalize taxes, write the check, mail them off, send the first quarterly payment for next year (will actually go out on the 17th)

Yeah for getting stuff done! Also that your skin is getting better. I hope it stays that way. I had to laugh that you're turning the lawnmower over to hubby to resolve. That's usually my answer, too!

Wow. You've been busy! And the drip irrigation is a very cool idea. A grown man named Pinky made me smile. It's cool that life still has quirks.

Oh, and a high five right back at ya!

I learned his legal name is Louis.

I can do some small engine stuff -- adding gas and oil, changing oil, filters, spark plugs, etc. I'm not so hot with carburetors and other more internal things.
